E3 2011 My Most Anticipated Games

In anticipation of E3 2011 I have decided to do a short preview of the games that I am looking forward to hearing more about when E3 begins on June 6th.

Mass Effect 3- Probably my most anticipated title, I can’t wait to see what new media and information comes out of E3 concerning the last part of the Mass Effect trilogy. It would be nice if Bioware revealed their plans for the IP after the third game. It looks like the series might go MMO after the trilogy is complete; the universe is certainly diverse enough to carry an MMORPG.

Assassin’s Creed Revelations- The Assassin’s Creed games have been a big hit in recent years and I am personally looking forward to what kind of info Ubisoft will reveal at E3.

Gears of War 3- Epic games is ready to unleash the third part in the Gears of War franchise and hopefully it will be just as awesome as the previous two were. With some great videos and media already out E3 will only bring more goodness for Gears nuts like myself.

Modern Warfare 3- Definitely the most anticipated title of 2011, MW3 will be heavily marketed at E3. MW2 had some great in-game footage at E3 2009 so hopefully Activision follows the model and gives us some gameplay.

Star Wars Kinect- I might buy a Kinect just for this title if it is good enough, hopefully it will be more than a rail “shooter” but if the Kinect can accurately decipher different hand movements related to different force powers it could be really cool. Light saber dueling should be awesome as well.

Uncharted 3- A lot of “threes” at E3 this year, I am looking forward to what Naughty Dog will be showcasing at E3 about Nathan Drake’s newest adventure. The first two games in the series were riveting, fast paced action-adventures and the third installment looks to be the same.

Duke Nukem Forever- This is just sheer curiosity but after a decade of waiting and production limbo I can’t wait to see what Duke’s new adventure looks like.

Prototype 2- The first prototype was a good attempt at an open-world superhero game (although Superhero might not be the best term for Alex Mercer) I hope that the second game in the series will be even better, building off of the solid foundation of the first.

Batman: Arkham City- This game is looking cooler and cooler every day. With the recent news that Catwoman would be a playable character and the fact that the world is much bigger than Arkham Island was this game has the potential to be one of the best of the year right out of the starting gate.

Those are the games I am looking forward to the most. How about you guys?
