Let’s take a break from E3 and talk about Oscar Mike. For the second installment of the Oscar Mike saga I have decided to put the first Task Force 141 mission together with the infamous “No Russian” level because there simply wasn’t much of Oscar in either.
The 141’s first mission took me to the snowy mountains of Russia where I was to recover a downed ACS module with Captain Soap MacTavish. We began by scaling the icy cliff (that I fell off of twice) and then we proceeded on foot to the objective. I snuck around the base, trying to keep a low profile while planting C4 on some fuel tanks. Oscar made his first and only appearance here when Soap challenged me to a race to the hangar, that’s one.
We recovered the module, blew the fuel tanks, killed some enemies, and had an awesome chase in snowmobiles. All in all a great mission with only one Oscar Mike, now onto the No Russian massacre.
Oscar was in no mood to be present during the No Russian level, as Makarov and his team slaughtered people in the airport. So there were no Oscar Mikes, which leaves our current running count at 7. Check back tomorrow for Task Force 141’s second entry into the series in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
